- CHARLES F. SCHUGART
Charles F. Schugart is President & Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Legal Support, Inc., the industry leader in litigation support services, including national court reporting, record retrieval, contract legal staffing and direct hire services.
Prior to joining U.S. Legal Support in 2004, Charles served as Managing Director for Growth Capital Partners, L.P. Before joining GCP, a Houston-based Investment and Merchant Bank, Mr. Schugart was President of Innovative Valve Technologies, Inc. ("Invatec"), a $170 million consolidation in the industrial distribution and repair services market. Mr. Schugart was responsible for the operations of Invatec's 16 operating units, renegotiating its senior debt and negotiating its sale to Flowserve. In connection with the sale to Flowserve, he restructured Invatec's $98 million of debt ($75 million of senior debt, $18 million of convertible subordinated debt and $5 million of other acquisition related obligations) to close the transaction.
Prior to joining Invatec, Mr. Schugart was a Senior Manager (selected for Partnership in 1997) at Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he focused on acquisition oriented public and private companies. Mr. Schugart received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Kansas in 1982.
- LAURIE BECKER
Laurie Becker, President of E.P. Dine Inc., U.S. Legal Support's permanent placement division, has been with the firm since 1991. Laurie's practice focuses on general counsel and deputy general counsel searches as well as partner placements. She received her A.B. in 1977 from Washington University and her J.D., Cum Laude, in 1980 from Boston University School of Law.
Laurie began her legal career as a corporate lawyer at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo in Boston. From 1984 to 1991, she was General Counsel of Unicorp American Corporation in New York City.
- PETE GIAMMANCO
Pete Giammanco is Director of U.S. Legal Support's National Court Reporting Operations and Division President of the California Court Reporting Division, based in Sherman Oaks, California. The Sherman Oaks operation serves more than 500 law firms throughout the state of California. Employing over 150 court reporters and staff, Pete's organization manages a broad scope of litigation, from highly complex, national and international multi-jurisdictional matters, to high-profile celebrity litigation and simple personal injury cases - all with the aim of utilizing technology to enhance the client experience. Pete also oversees court reporting operations nationwide.
A certified shorthand reporter, professional reporter and RealTime reporter, Pete started his own company in 1987. This boutique court reporting firm serviced top-tier law firms throughout Southern California. In 1997, the company was acquired by U.S. Legal Support Services, where Peter is President of California Court Reporting.
Pete is an active participant in the legal community as a member of the California Shorthand Reporters Association, the National Court Reporters Association and DRI.
- JIM CUNNINGHAM
Jim Cunningham is Director of U.S. Legal Support's National Records Retrieval Operations and Division President of Illinois Records based in Chicago. With over 1,000 active clients, U.S. Legal Support is the premier record retrieval business in the Midwest.
Jim has 15 years of experience in the legal industry. His extensive knowledge of the legal outsourcing arena, particularly litigation support including electronic discovery, is evidenced by the scope and satisfaction of his client base.
Prior to joining U.S. Legal, Jim held a number of senior level positions in sales and operations for two global outsourcing companies, IKON and Williams Lea.
Jim is a member of the DRI and is an active member of the legal community in Illinois.
- MICHAEL KLEIN
President of U.S. Legal Support's Florida court reporting division, Michael Klein oversees a team comprising more than 300 court reporters and staff.
Starting his career as a court reporter, Michael went on to create the largest privately held court reporting organization in the United States. Specializing in the reporting of medical malpractice and other complex litigation, Michael's innovative approach to the business has been pivotal in shaping the industry. In 1998, Michael's business was acquired by U.S. Legal Support, where he continues to contribute to the growth and success of the Florida court reporting and records division.
- TOM ESPOSITO
Division President Tom Esposito brings over eighteen years of experience to US Legal Support and is responsible for sales and operations within the New York court reporting and litigation support market.
Tom's experience is concentrated in branch operations, sales, and the implementation of added value partnerships for Fortune 500 companies. Tom has implemented major Partnership Programs with many international enterprises and has extensive experience in litigation including management of court reporting and legal staffing operations in major litigation markets throughout the United States. Tom has managed major discovery projects and multi-district litigation, comprising document review and deposition handling in the United States as well as internationally for major cases, firms and corporations.
Tom is past Vice President of ARMA International's Stamford Connecticut chapter.
- LEE ANN WATSON
Lee Ann Watson is Division President U.S. Legal Support's Texas Records and Reporting Division, based in Houston, Texas. Lee Ann's operations service clients in Texas and Florida.
Lee Ann has 20 years of service and sales experience in outsourcing solutions. Prior to U.S. Legal Support, Lee Ann worked at Administaff for 13 years in operations and sales.
Lee Ann is active in the Defense Research Institute DRI, US Law, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Harris Martin Conferences and other local legal organizations.
