Process Management
Building solutions that satisfy discovery and other document review requirements is both a science and an art form. Developing case strategies, implementing and monitoring litigation hold notices, conferring with opposing counsel on production formats, selecting the most efficient processing software and identifying the most qualified suppliers to pull it all together can be a daunting challenge, particularly given the unique profile of each document review project.
The Dine Group ensures a standardized approach to document review operations from the outset of a project through its conclusion. Key components of this process include:
Pre-Planning
Development of project plan including scope, timeline of all major milestones and deliverables
Identification of Law Department and Outside Counsel review participants; vendors provisioning the project; and contract staffing point of contact, along with their respective roles and responsibilities
Establishment of a reviewer profile - experience, credentials and conflicts
Development of Rules of Engagement - e.g. review schedule; flex-time parameters; permissions relating to Internet access and the use of cell phones, iPODS and PDAs in the document review facility;
Design of Retention Programs
Recruitment
Sourcing and vetting of candidate attorneys and/or paralegals
Presentment of qualified candidates' resumes to client
Selection of document review project candidates
Selection of Team Leader, Project Manager(s), Quality Control Lead(s)
Detailed Project Planning
Development of project ramp-up timeframe and logistics
Installation and testing of document review software tool(s)
